Gottman Method couples therapy for couples in Greenville and across South Carolina.

Every couple can get stuck.

Not every couple stays there.

The same conflicts seem to come up again and again, or difficult conversations never happen at all. One of you feels misunderstood, the other feels like nothing you do is enough, and the closeness you once shared feels like a distant memory. You've made genuine efforts to improve things, but the patterns keep returning.

Many of the couples I work with have experienced…

  • The same arguments keep coming up over and over.

  • Communication leaves one or both of you feeling misunderstood.

  • Trust has been damaged by betrayal or dishonesty.

  • Feeling more like roommates than partners.

  • Intimacy has become difficult or infrequent.

  • Worry that the relationship is slowly drifting in the wrong direction.

Couples therapy isn’t about deciding who’s right. It’s about understanding the conflict patterns that keep you stuck, and learning new skills to help you move forward.

I help couples struggling with conflict and disconnection develop the skills they need to restore trust, deepen intimacy, and create lasting love.

Hi, I’m Kenny Levine

I've spent more than 25 years helping couples understand what is happening in their relationship and change it.

Couples often tell me a previous therapy failed because sessions turned into a referee match. One partner listed grievances, the other defended, and they fought about therapy after session. That is not how I work. I am not there to decide who is right. I am there to help both of you see the cycle you are caught in, and to give you the skills to interrupt it.

My approach is built on the Gottman Method, the most heavily researched model of couples therapy available, along with training in DBT and CBT. Expect structure, direct feedback, and more laughter than you would predict.

Getting started is simple

01

Schedule a free consultation

We’ll briefly discuss what’s bringing you to therapy, answer your questions, and decide whether we’re likely to be a good fit.

02

Complete Gottman Relationship Assessment

This science-based evaluation helps us understand your relationship’s strengths, recurring patterns, and the goals we’ll be working toward together.

03

Structured sessions

We meet regularly and work the plan. You will practice new skills live in session, with real topics, while I interrupt the old pattern in the moment. Progress gets measured against the goals we set, not against a vague sense of improvement.
